About the Role

iMultiply Resourcing Ltd is partnering with a leading independent accountancy firm to recruit an Audit and Assurance Manager for its Glasgow office.

The firm is a top 35 firm of accountants and business advisers in the UK, with 16 offices across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage specific Audit and Assurance clients and workflow, ensuring adherence to individual job budget and maximum fee recovery.
  • Plan, prioritise, and allocate client work, ensuring effective team workflow.
  • Establish scope and budget for each piece of client work, ensuring adequate briefing to team members.
  • Monitor work progress, ensuring appropriate levels of communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor individual and team performance versus original objectives and departmental KPIs.
  • Provide regular feedback to team members on their performance.
  • Conduct formal appraisals versus original objectives and job specification for each direct team member.
  • Assist students and trainees with on-the-job training.
  • Support the wider Audit and Assurance team in delivering the required departmental incremental fee target.
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualified.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of UK taxes, including Corporation Tax, VAT, and PAYE.
  • Excellent knowledge and working experience of the International Standards on Auditing (UK and Ireland) variant.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dedicated team player, willing to assist colleagues within the team.
  • Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
