Our client is a prominent global consultancy firm, engaged in various sectors, particularly within the UK energy landscape.
They are in search of a Senior Electrical Engineering Leader to assist in advancing the UK's commitment to achieving its Net Zero Carbon objectives, collaborating with organizations involved in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Electrical Engineering Leader, you will play a pivotal role in our client's Net Zero division, holding a senior position within the high voltage (HV) electrical engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to offer technical direction and oversight to the engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring technical governance and quality assurance.
- Developing and planning engineering capabilities.
- Reviewing and approving bid proposals.
- Leading the technical execution of projects.
- Managing relationships with clients.
- Traveling to client locations or other offices as required.
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and are likely to be (or working towards) Chartered Engineer status.
Applicants should have substantial experience in HV electrical engineering, demonstrating a passion for technical excellence and managing complex projects while providing leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
Experience in delivering multiple concurrent projects, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, establish projects, and deliver effective solutions for intricate challenges in the transmission and distribution sector is essential.
Additional Qualifications:
You may also hold BP141 / TP141 Design Assurance certification or an equivalent qualification.
