Position Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Company Overview:
Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is a renowned technical recruitment agency, specializing in various industries across the UK. We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Civil Engineer to join a prestigious Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy.

Role Responsibilities:
The Senior Civil Engineer will be engaged in a diverse range of projects, including both Residential and Commercial Development, with a focus on Roads and Highway initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting feasibility studies and preparing essential documentation such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements.
  • Overseeing the preparation of contract documents and managing contractor procurement and site supervision.
  • Engaging in project management activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Designing and detailing works related to highway agreements and drainage systems.
  • Participating in client meetings to discuss project progress and requirements.
  • Supervising the design and implementation of highway maintenance schemes.

Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering (MEng, BEng, or BSc) with aspirations to achieve Chartered status.
  • A minimum of 3 years of detailed design experience in road and highway projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroDrainage software.
  • Experience in drafting reports, including Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements.
  • Expertise in foul and surface water drainage design and vehicle swept path assessments using AutoTrack.
  • Familiarity with ground modeling software for horizontal and vertical alignment and earthworks design.
  • Strong negotiation skills with highway authorities and environmental agencies.
  • A comprehensive understanding of national regulations and guidelines.
  • A valid driving license and the ability to excel in a dynamic work environment.
