Job Title: Lead Drainage Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Drainage Engineer to join our esteemed client, a leading Maintenance Services Provider in London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, addressing emergency and reactive call-outs, and utilizing advanced techniques and tools to resolve drainage problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentoring: Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers, and assist on larger projects.
  • Emergency and Reactive Call-Outs: Respond promptly to emergency and reactive call-outs, addressing drainage issues for a diverse range of clients.
  • Advanced Techniques and Tools: Utilize High Pressure Water Jetting, Core Cleaning, De-Scaling, and CCTV Surveys equipment to efficiently resolve drainage problems.
  • Basic Plumbing: Perform small plumbing works, such as removing toilets and urinals, replacing isolation valves, or toilet components.
Requirements:
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in the drainage industry, resolving internal and external blockages, and basic plumbing experience, minimum of 5+ years within a drainage environment.
  • Technical Competence: Experience utilizing Electro mechanical and CCTV equipment, as well as performing basic plumbing tasks.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
  • Punctuality: Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to approach and resolve issues logically.
Working Hours:
  • Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
  • Night Shifts: 4 nights a month.
  • Weekends: 1 weekend a month.
  • On-Call Duty: 1 call-out week every 10 weeks.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Overtime Rates: 1/3 additional pay from Monday to Friday.
  • Double-Time Pay: Available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
