Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthodontic Specialist to join our team. As a Consultant Orthodontist, you will play a key role in leading and contributing to the development of our Orthodontics service within the NHS Lothian Oral Health Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the development of the Orthodontics service, working closely with other specialty arms of the Oral Health Service and medical colleagues.
- Be responsible for the delivery of high-quality orthodontic care to patients, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and experience.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to orthodontic care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
Requirements
- Full GMC Registration and a license to practice.
- Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register, with higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
- Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded.
- Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
