Role Responsibilities

As an Application Solutions Architect, your main responsibility will be to collaborate with our business clients across various trading divisions to identify, design, and facilitate the delivery of effective solutions that address business requirements and generate measurable value for the organization. This role is essential for ensuring the successful delivery, standardization, quality, and cost-effectiveness of IT solutions, Applications, and Services within the business landscape.

Key Duties:

  • Enhance business value by identifying, designing, and delivering effective technology solutions.
  • Possess experience in Application migration and defining Application system landscapes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Azure Integration to architect and implement cloud-based solutions, including infrastructure design, data storage, analytics, and system integration.
  • Provide insights into current in-house systems and their capabilities while evaluating the feasibility of incoming application migrations into the strategic framework.
  • Comprehend the complete service transition from project initiation to Business As Usual (BAU) support lifecycle.
  • Assist business clients in adopting new third-party technology solutions in accordance with organizational standards and policies.
  • Oversee IT investments across the Business and Systems change portfolio to ensure alignment with IT strategy, standards, and policies.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to Business, IT, and third-party partners regarding Solutions to ensure compliance with required standards.

Your Qualifications

Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Extensive experience in Application Integration Solutions and Application Migration for newly acquired entities.
  • TOGAF or equivalent certification.
  • Expertise in Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Background in application and data management.
  • Exposure to Business Analysis/Architecture/Design roles.
  • Experience in Strategy and Roadmap development.
  • Strong background in Mergers and Acquisitions.
  • Proficient in Analysis and Design methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Governance frameworks.
  • Understanding of Project and development lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of applications within the insurance sector.
  • Experience in a Solution Designer role is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to demonstrate the value of technology to the business.
  • Govern solution implementations to ensure security, compliance, and reliability.
  • Encourage the reuse of existing solutions, adherence to standards, and alignment with policies to minimize technical design debt.
  • Advise on opportunities to leverage technology solutions.
  • Act as a valued member of the technology team, contributing significantly to the broader IT agenda.
  • Perform duties in accordance with internal policies and procedures, adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and good governance principles.
