Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at ProTalent, a well-established accountancy practice with a strong presence in the UK market.

About the Role:

• As a Bookkeeping Specialist, you will be responsible for performing bookkeeping duties for a diverse range of clients, including preparing and submitting VAT returns, management accounts, and other financial reports.
• You will work closely with our clients to understand their financial needs and provide expert advice on bookkeeping and financial management.
• Our ideal candidate will have experience working with multiple accounting platforms, including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks, and be proficient in Excel and other financial software.
• You will also be responsible for supporting clients with bookkeeping and software queries, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction.

About You:

• We are looking for a candidate with a background in client bookkeeping within an accountancy practice or bookkeeping bureau, and AAT qualification or equivalent.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, as well as experience working with Xero and other accounting software, are essential for this role.
• Extensive knowledge of VAT and management accounts is highly desirable, and you will be expected to stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
• You will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
