Position Overview:
Important Note: This role necessitates PVG Membership.
Effective from a specified date, candidates applying for positions requiring PVG membership will be responsible for the associated costs. This requirement applies exclusively to roles with a full-time equivalent salary threshold.
The Council will initially cover the PVG membership fee, which will later be deducted from the first full month's salary. The fee is £18 for existing PVG scheme members and £59 for new applicants.
Role Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will play a vital role in the management of the educational institution and the provision of high-quality education. This will involve engaging pupils, staff, parents, and community stakeholders in alignment with the strategic objectives of the Authority, the school improvement plan, and relevant legislation.
Minimum Qualifications:
The applicant must possess:
- An appropriate teaching qualification
- Full registration with the General Teaching Council (Scotland) in the relevant subject area or eligibility for such registration
- PVG scheme membership for working with children
