About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Cancer Improvement Specialist. This is a new role within the Trust, and we are looking for someone with a strong background in project management, health inequalities, and cancer service development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a clear programme plan to improve cancer services, including the implementation of optimal pathways, timed pathways, and MDT streamlining.
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify and address health inequalities and barriers to accessing healthcare services.
  • Manage and deliver complex projects, including the Targeted Lung Health Check Programme, to achieve measurable outcomes and benefits.
  • Communicate progress and results to stakeholders, including the Department of Health, Board of Directors, and patient groups.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Project management knowledge and experience, including the use of Quality Improvement tools and techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis.
  • Experience of working in an NHS acute hospital and managing complex projects.
