Deputy Nursery Manager Job Description

This is an excellent chance for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a renowned nursery setting in the Marlow area. The nursery offers spacious, well-equipped rooms and a fantastic outdoor space where they prioritize individual care and learning for newborns to 5 year olds, while building strong relationships with parents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Manager in providing the highest standards of care, education, and compliance for children and help to manage the daily operations of the nursery.
  • Inspire the staff team with creative ideas and new challenges to continue their knowledge and skills development.
  • Create an environment where all children receive engaging experiences suitable for their age and stage of development.
  • Ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
  • Ensure individual care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
Requirements:
  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification – ideally higher qualifications in childcare or leadership.
  • Previous experience of working in a childcare environment with management responsibilities.
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements.
  • Ideally, experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection.
