Job Title: Evening Carer
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Evening Carer to join our team at Home Instead. As a Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist with group activities and outings, promoting social interaction and engagement.
- Help with shopping and meal preparation, ensuring our clients' nutritional needs are met.
- Provide dementia care with empathy and patience, creating a safe and supportive environment.
- Handle light domestic tasks, maintaining a clean and comfortable living space.
- Accompany clients to appointments, providing transportation and support.
- Administer or remind clients about medication, ensuring their health and well-being.
- Offer support with personal care when needed, promoting independence and dignity.
Your Availability:
We require our Evening Carer to be available between 6pm and 9pm on 4 to 5 days a week, with optional weekends. This will involve a maximum of 2 calls per evening, with each call lasting at least an hour. We also pay for travel time between calls, ensuring a fair and competitive compensation package.
Qualifications and Training:
While qualifications are not essential, we do require a passion for supporting others and a willingness to learn. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role.
