Job Summary

The Hummingbird Project is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Support Specialist to join our team. As a Specialist Support Worker, you will provide holistic and trauma-informed casework, advice, and support to young people aged 14 to 25 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual sessions and advocacy around the wellbeing and rights of young people.
  • Work closely with community, statutory, and voluntary organisations to ensure the immediate and longer-term needs of young people are met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive support network.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programmes and services that promote the wellbeing and empowerment of young people.

Requirements

  • Experience working with young people in a support or advocacy role.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and holistic casework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
