This role is part of the King's College Hospital neurology/stroke team, working closely with a team of 18 speciality registrars and senior clinical fellows. The team participates in a Full Shift Resident System, covering Neurology and Stroke out of hours on a 1:18 basis.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing 24/7 cover for the Unit on a rota basis, sharing responsibility with colleagues.
- Covering colleagues' periods of annual leave and short-term sickness.
- Managing outpatient clinic commitments in peripheral hospitals, as agreed with the Care Group management team.
- Ensuring compliance with Trust infection prevention and control policies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in medicine.
- MRCP or equivalent qualification.
- Neurology or stroke experience.
