Position Overview:
Work Location: Flexible
Role Purpose:
- The Emissions Engineer serves as a process engineer or chemical engineer, tasked with overseeing all technical dimensions of emissions management, formulating emissions reduction strategies, and compiling emissions data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate decarbonization pathways to support the Group's Climate Change commitments, providing technical guidance.
- Offer advice to business unit decarbonization teams to successfully execute approved decarbonization initiatives.
- Deliver technical support and guidance to the Sustainability team and the broader HSES community.
- Manage the Corporate Decarbonization Tool, including the development of supporting governance documentation and ensuring the integrity of the project assessment process.
- Implement all technical requirements arising from legislative updates, internal initiatives, and industry standards (OGMP 2.0) through close collaboration with technical colleagues.
- Assist with ESG corporate submissions that require analytical contributions, such as the Annual Sustainability Report, Annual Report, GHG Accounts, Investor Questionnaires, and materials for Leadership Team and Board Meetings.
Essential Skills:
- A university degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of ESG and atmospheric data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarity with a broad spectrum of pollution control technologies and methodologies.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret emission data, perform trend analysis, and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- Ability to identify emission sources, troubleshoot issues, and devise innovative solutions to complex emission challenges.
- Exemplary interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
