Job Description

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a skilled Design Manager to lead and manage the design process for a large healthcare project in the North East of England.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the design process for the project, ensuring design objectives are met.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure design deliverables align with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Oversee the production of design deliverables, ensuring they meet all security clearance requirements, including DBS and BPSS.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and statutory bodies to ensure all design work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage design risks and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing design for healthcare or education projects or similar.
  • Strong background working with main contractors.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with NHS, MOD or DfE project requirements is a plus.
  • Must meet DBS and BPSS security clearance requirements.
