About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurophysiology Specialist to join our team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine EEG/sleep EEG recordings on adults and children as outpatients and inpatients, adapting the technique to accommodate the clinical state and degree of co-operation of the patient.
  • Use telemetry equipment during EEG recordings, having obtained written consent.
  • Advise patients on necessary precautions around photo sensitivity and sedation.
  • Transport portable equipment from the department to the ward to perform EEG recordings at the bedside.
  • Utilize digital EEG software to produce detailed factual reports on EEG recordings for viewing by the Consultant Neurophysiologist.
Requirements
  • BSc Hons Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology or equivalent)
  • Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology EPTA/ANS Board Examination Part I or working towards
  • Neurophysiology (EPTA/ANS) Board Examination Part II or working towards
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Post-Graduate Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Member of Professional Organisation
  • Evidence of experience of supervising students or trainees
