Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom TRS Consulting (UK) Ltd Full time

Service Engineer for Water Treatment Solutions

Location: Cambridge, Hertfordshire & Essex

No prior experience in water treatment necessary - Comprehensive product training provided for mechanical or electrical engineers from diverse sectors.

Competitive earnings including 'door to door' overtime, company vehicle, and an exceptional benefits package including healthcare, contributory pension scheme, and extensive manufacturer-based product training.

Opportunity Overview

This is a remarkable opportunity for former military engineers (RAF, REME, or Navy), service engineers, decontamination service engineers, maintenance engineers, and electricians from various backgrounds, including domestic, commercial, and industrial equipment, to join a leading global company in water treatment and filtration systems. The organization offers thorough product training, an attractive remuneration package, and career advancement opportunities.

Company Overview

The employer is a worldwide leader in water processing technology, recognized by clients across numerous manufacturing sectors for delivering reliable systems in the water treatment industry. Their water treatment division plays a crucial role within this global services and technology group, employing thousands of individuals worldwide. They provide 'best in class' solutions across a diverse range of equipment, driven by a commitment to superior manufacturing facilities, innovative product development, exceptional customer service, and the recruitment and nurturing of talented individuals.

Role Overview

Due to expansion, they are seeking a customer-oriented and technically adept Service Engineer, responsible for the installation, servicing, repair, and commissioning of water treatment and filtration equipment across various manufacturing, healthcare, and pharmaceutical sites in the South East region.

In this dynamic role, the Service Engineer will handle the service, repair, and installation of a variety of water treatment equipment, including infrastructure utilized in diverse manufacturing sectors and medical environments.

Candidate Profile

To qualify for this exciting position, candidates must demonstrate experience with electrical-mechanical capital equipment and ideally possess an engineering qualification. This role is suitable for former military engineers (RAF, Navy, or REME) seeking an engaging field service position or experienced electro-mechanical engineers looking to work with a reputable company that offers world-class training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Applications are encouraged from engineers with a wide range of electrical service engineering backgrounds, as extensive manufacturer-based training will be provided. While experience with water-based systems is advantageous, it is not a requirement, as the training is thorough.

Benefits Overview

This position presents an excellent opportunity to join a premier water treatment equipment organization. You will be part of a national team of Service Engineers who take pride in their work and strive to build long-term relationships with clients. You will face continual challenges as you engage with new technologies and receive ongoing support and guidance from senior management, enhancing your technical knowledge through training courses.

For those with ambition, there are pathways to advance into more specialized technical roles.

In return, the successful candidate will benefit from first-class product training recognized by the industry, which will be ongoing as new products are introduced. A generous remuneration package is assured, including a competitive base salary, excellent overtime rates paid 'door to door', a company vehicle, healthcare benefits, a contributory pension scheme, and the opportunity for career progression within a market-leading organization.
