About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at Fortescue Zero. As a key member of our Procurement department, you will be responsible for managing our supply base to ensure effective delivery of products and services according to our required specifications, schedule, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the on-time delivery of indirect goods and services for new and existing requirements;
  • Create and report against category procurement strategies with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Prepare and issue RFQs;
  • Carry out commercial negotiations with suppliers, including FM agreements, service level agreements, utilities, Capex, and consumable provisions;
  • Select and nominate suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and delivery targets;
  • Work with ERP systems to raise purchase orders and ensure timely delivery;
  • Lead cost and budget management, providing clear and accurate data to budget holders;
  • Validate supplier payment terms, delivery terms, and general terms and conditions to ensure alignment with business and customer requirements;
  • Report procurement status at program reviews and gateways to senior management;
  • Lead the resolution of supplier quality concerns, ensuring proper root cause analysis and corrective action;
  • Coordinate NDA's with suppliers and the business legal team;
  • Resolve invoice queries arising from POs;
  • Develop and monitor supplier performance data and work with key stakeholders to ensure effective supplier development plans;
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and SLAs with suppliers to mitigate failure to meet business requirements;
  • Follow company purchasing procedures and maintain a working environment consistent with business standards;
  • Create, develop, and continuously improve business procurement processes and procedures within a multi-program environment;
  • Support and mentor junior team members;
About You
  • Experience in indirect procurement and CIPS qualification preferred;
  • Experience in procuring within the FM sector and related services and Capex equipment preferred;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines;
