Job Title: Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Asset Team and ensuring the effective management of highway assets in Swindon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the day-to-day management of a broad team of Highway Asset and Lead Local Flood Authority professionals.
  • Promote the strategic importance of highway asset management within the organization and to external stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic asset management advice to support the end-to-end management and delivery of highway services.
  • Develop and implement the Council's long-term policy strategy and detailed plans for the management of highway assets.
Requirements:
  • Substantial knowledge and experience of highway asset management.
  • Extensive senior management experience leading technical teams in highways.
  • Ability to translate strategic information into project-specific operational requirements.
  • Authoritative knowledge of the principles, theory, and practice of at least one of the specialized technical engineering fields within the area of responsibility.
  • Substantial experience in managing contracts and procuring external suppliers and contractors.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar relevant subject and extensive experience.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with corporate membership of a relevant professional institution.
  • Asset Management qualification (IAM Diploma or higher preferred) and membership of the IAM or similar.
