Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for administering contracts, providing commercial advice, and ensuring project timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Administration: Manage existing contracts, including performing, issuing, or managing as required by the Commercial Manager.
  • Commercial Advice: Provide expert guidance to Contract Leads on commercial matters.
  • Project Timelines: Ensure all contract timescales are being met by the project team, utilizing CEMAR for effective management.
  • General Communications: Handle all contract-related communications.
  • Project Meetings: Support weekly and monthly project/contract progress meetings.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with Client commercial teams for queries and Learning from Experience.

Project Interfaces

  • Internal Interfaces: Collaborate with Contract Leads, Finance, Cost engineering, and project controls functions as required.
  • External Interfaces: Interface with Client Commercial and Project Managers as required.

Requirements

  • NEC Contract Administration: Strong experience in NEC contract administration, preferably NEC4 Professional Service Contracts.
  • Microsoft Excel: Proficient in Microsoft Excel to at least intermediate level.
  • Quantity Surveying Qualification: Ideally degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying.
  • Accuracy and Compliance: Working to high levels of accuracy and contract compliance.
