Job Summary

Talent Solutions Staffing UK is seeking a skilled Assembler Calibrator to join our team. As an Assembler Calibrator, you will be responsible for performing a range of routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly tasks, calibrating and testing sub-assemblies and final assemblies, and conducting fault finding activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly tasks in accordance with company instructions and procedures.
  • Calibrate and conduct test routines at sub-assembly and final assembly levels.
  • Conduct fault finding activities on electro/mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
  • Rework and modify components in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Compile test reports and input data into electronic databases.
  • Maintain input to business information systems as appropriate.
  • Carry out 'housekeeping' of own working area.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or extensive proven experience in a similar assembly role.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Skills and Abilities
  • Able to follow written repair, overhaul, and general test procedures to determine the serviceability of any electro-mechanical product at final assembly and sub-assembly levels with minimal supervision and training.
  • Diagnose, repair, and overhaul mechanical instrumentation to component level using mechanical assembly first principles.
  • Familiar with the use of a wide range of mechanical tools, test, and measurement equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret technical data, including assembly diagrams, assembly drawings, basic wiring, and circuit diagrams, and technical publications.
  • Ability to carry out survey and test, then record findings on the FRACAS system history documentation.
  • Good written communication and verbal communication skills.
