About the Role

Cafcass is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Court Adviser to join our team. As a Family Court Adviser, you will play a critical role in supporting the welfare and safety of children and families involved in the family court process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake direct work with children, gaining their views and wishes, and representing these to the court via written reports and giving evidence.
  • Advocate for arrangements that are in the best interests of the child(ren) involved.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Be a Social Work England registered social worker with a strong track record of working with children and families.
  • Have demonstrable experience of working in a social work role, potentially supplemented by relevant experience from earlier in your career.
  • Be organized, resilient, and able to work independently.
  • Be confident in your abilities and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
