About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor to join our expanding team at Ward & Rider Solicitors. As a key member of our Claimant Personal Injury team, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload and working alongside our existing lawyers to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Your primary focus will be on handling new and existing claims, including litigated matters, and providing expert advice to clients on their compensation entitlements. You will also be responsible for liaising with barristers, medical experts, and other professionals to assist with each claim.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong track record of dealing with high-value claims and a proven ability to produce high-quality work. You will also need to have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own caseload of Personal Injury claims, including litigated matters
  • Provide expert advice to clients on their compensation entitlements
  • Liaise with barristers, medical experts, and other professionals to assist with each claim
  • Prepare and draft documents, briefs, instructions, and schedules
  • Value claims and deal with settlement negotiations
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role (in-house or private practice)
  • Experience of working in a target-driven, commercial environment
  • A proven track record of dealing with high-value claims and a strong billing history
  • Knowledge of Conditional Fee Agreements
  • Experience of dealing with pre-litigated and litigated claims
  • Knowledge of the MoJ portal
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent professionalism and a proactive nature
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise and time-manage workloads/tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to produce work to a high standard
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Good IT skills
  • Good client care skills
