About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in delivering intelligent countermeasures systems and support for the Royal Navy Maritime Electronic Warfare Programme (MEWP). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in protecting our country and our armed forces serving at sea.

Key Responsibilities
  • Defining and Managing Requirements: You will be responsible for defining and managing requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle, ensuring that our systems meet the needs of our customers.
  • Technical Input to Bidding Activities: You will provide technical input to bidding activities, helping us to win new contracts and deliver our services to the highest standard.
  • Integration and Production Qualification: You will be responsible for integration and production qualification activities, ensuring that our systems are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Work Package Generation and Execution: You will generate and execute work packages, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • System Architecture and Design: You will define system architectures that will drive system design, ensuring that our systems are efficient, effective, and meet the needs of our customers.
  • System Integration Verification and Validation: You will carry out system integration verification and validation activities, ensuring that our systems meet the required quality standards.
  • Customer Relationships: You will coordinate directly with internal and external customers, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with our services.
  • Documentation and Communication: You will prepare documentation and presentation material to effectively communicate technical subject matter to audiences at working and senior management level.
  • Project Planning and Tracking: You will plan and track progress of engineering assignments within agreed schedules, to quality standards and budget in accordance with project and company processes.
  • Technical Expertise and Support: You will provide technical expertise and support to the Business Development function, including the generation of technical proposals and bids.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Experience: You will have knowledge and experience of working within the Verification and Validation process, as well as a good understanding of requirements capture and experience of using DOORS to manage requirements.
  • UK MOD Maritime Communication Equipment: Experience of UK MOD Maritime Communication Equipment would be desirable.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical subject matter to audiences at working and senior management level.
