Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team at Lagan Specialist Contracting Group. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for advising on geotechnical design requirements at tender stage for aspects of bored and driven piling work, and the preparation of detailed design submissions to current Eurocode requirements at contract award.

Key Responsibilities

  • To take responsibility for all aspects of detailed Geotechnical Pile design at both tender and contract award stage.
  • Working closely and constructively with Technical Directors and Senior Estimators at tender stage to provide tender design support as required.
  • On contract award, prepare detailed pile design submissions for issue to external clients and address technical queries and comments as required.
  • Provide support and guidance to contracts staff to ensure effective and efficient delivery of contracts in line with design requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Geotechnical design experience.
  • Primary experience in all aspects of pile design including bored piled retaining walls.
  • Proficient in the use of key proprietary computer software packages such as Oasys suite which are pertinent to design.
  • Capable of producing quality design submissions and an ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
  • Full valid driving licence.
