About the Role
We are seeking a Relief Support Worker to join our team in Belper, Derbyshire. As a Relief Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.
About the Service
Our services in Belper provide support to individuals with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities.
- Work across two services in the Belper area, with no shift being the same.
- Support individuals with daily tasks, such as household chores, managing finances, and accessing the local community.
- Teach life skills, such as cooking and budgeting.
- Provide medication, intimate personal care support, and other tasks as required.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract Options
Relief: As and when required.
Shift Times
All our services are 24hr care and include a sleep. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life.
Shift Patterns
- Days/Evenings: Between 07:00-10:00, 10:00-15:00, 15:00-22:00
- Sleep shifts: 10:00-07:00
Sleep-in shifts you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £61.20.
