Our client is a renowned global leader in the design and manufacturing sector, specializing in advanced applications such as Gas, Steam, and Hydro Turbines, HVAC centrifugal gas compressors, Generators, Gearboxes, Pumps, and Motors. Position Overview
The selected candidate will engage in various key activities including:
1) Designing and analyzing complex systems,
2) Developing technical documentation for sales proposals,
3) Assisting in the commissioning of both new and existing systems. The role involves collaboration with clients, acting as a technical project lead for the design and sales of innovative systems. The candidate will also work closely with internal teams, supporting commissioning engineers in optimizing new systems and resolving issues with existing ones. Key responsibilities encompass completing engineering design projects, providing production support, assisting in commissioning efforts, troubleshooting systems, and driving continuous design enhancements.
Essential Responsibilities Include
- Conducting comprehensive rotordynamic and control system analyses.
- Supporting the mechanical and electromagnetic design processes, including stress and heat transfer analyses.
- Utilizing Solidworks and SW Simulator for FEA analyses and verifying drawings.
- Facilitating the interface between rotordynamic and control system design and their implementation in controllers and commissioning activities.
- Establishing effective technical communication with both external and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinating with the internal manufacturing team to ensure successful implementation of bearing system designs.
- Willingness to travel occasionally in support of projects (up to 10% travel required).
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in rotordynamics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of engineering experience in mechanical disciplines is preferred.
- Experience with turbomachinery or rotating equipment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in XCEL, Solidworks, and FEA software is essential.
- Strong academic background in mechanical design, stress analysis, heat transfer analysis, dynamics, electromagnetics, electronics, instrumentation, signal processing, materials, and control systems.
- Experience in reviewing detailed mechanical drawings and specifying dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing projects effectively while prioritizing critical tasks.
