Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our enthusiastic and committed team in Kirkwall. Your main responsibilities will encompass:

  • Ensuring all assigned Reactive Works orders and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks are completed within the stipulated contract timeframes, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Contributing significantly to the overall efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of the contract, playing a vital role in the delivery of services.
  • Assisting the site supervisor in implementing a cohesive approach to the delivery of all contracted services, ensuring that all tasks are executed safely, punctually, within budget, and to the required quality standards.


Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A background in General Maintenance with relevant experience.
  • Proficient skills in Carpentry, Painting and Decorating, Door Hanging, Carpet/Lino repairs, Tiling, ceiling grids/tiles, and minor plumbing tasks.
  • Knowledge of L8 ACOP and Legionella Awareness.
  • Strong understanding of safety documentation and procedures.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Ability to perform grounds maintenance every three weeks, provide cleaning services during absences or holidays, and address any site issues as requested by clients.
