Job Description

Eden Brown Synergy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join their team in a leading provider of complex care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment and treatment for patients with physical, cognitive, communication, and behavioral difficulties caused by neurological insult and acquired brain injury.
  • Develop and implement evidence-led therapy programs for patients at a specialist level, with a focus on multidisciplinary working to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Lead communication therapy groups and maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidelines for excellence.
  • Named Therapist duties to ensure cohesive goal-setting and therapy coordination.
  • Supervise less experienced Speech and Language Therapists and/or assistants as required.
  • Contribute to the induction and training of other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant codes of practice and regulations.
  • Participate in the implementation and review of policy and service development initiatives related to Speech and Language Therapy.
Requirements:
  • Active HCPC registration.
  • Previous experience working in a neurorehabilitation setting.
  • Experience working with aphasia, cognitive communication disorder, dysarthria, apraxia, and dysphagia is essential.
  • Specialist level dysphagia competency on the RCSLT framework.
  • Formal supervision/line management experience.
