Job Title: CMM Quality Inspector

Location: Cheltenham

Contract Details: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 DOE

About Our Client:

Our client is a leading manufacturing organisation specialising in precision components. With their commitment to excellence and adherence to the highest quality standards, they have built a reputation for delivering exceptional products to clients across various industries. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated CMM Quality Inspector to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

* Utilise and calibrate various inspection and measuring equipment, such as verniers, micrometres, calipers, and CMM equipment, to ensure accurate measurements of parts and components.
* Communicate any defects found to production and engineering colleagues, both verbally and in writing, utilising reporting and record-keeping procedures.
* Share technical knowledge and understanding to assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Participate in audits performed by external parties and internal audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and documents to ensure adherence to specifications.
* Ensure conformance of components and parts by meticulously conducting inspections and completing accurate documentation.
* Compile First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

* Attention to detail and dexterity in handling precision equipment.
* Qualification in an engineering discipline.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Familiarity with AS9100 and first-off inspection procedures.
* Proficient in decision-making and problem-solving.

Technologies:

* Proficiency in using inspection and measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometres, calipers, and CMM equipment.
