Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team as a First Call Operative Engineer. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for restoring gas supplies to customers in an efficient manner.

About the Role:

• Ensure gas supply restoration in a timely and efficient manner.
• Deal with internal and external gas escapes reported by the public.
• Address pressure problems, pipe work reruns, surveys, and re-connections to the gas supply.
• Work Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8am and 8pm.
• Participate in 2 weeks of FCO training with Cadent Gas and 2 weeks of mentoring in your region.
• Receive a £2,000 lump sum bonus at the end of the contract.
• Enjoy 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata).

About You:

To be successful in this role, you must have experience working in the gas industry, including knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging, and commissioning of pipework.

You should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, a full UK driving license, and strong pipework skills.
