Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team at Focus Brands. As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will be responsible for processing invoices, verifying documentation, and ensuring accuracy in data entry. Your responsibilities will include entering invoices into the accounting system, setting up new supplier accounts, and reconciling supplier statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices meticulously, ensuring accuracy by verifying all necessary documentation and approvals.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring correct coding and classification.
- Set up new supplier accounts, confirming payment details, and reconciling supplier statements to resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Prepare weekly payment runs, process payments through the online banking system, and accurately record all transactions in the cashbook, reconciling them with bank statements.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable and provide support to the wider finance team in various ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within an accounts payable team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence to challenge and escalate in an appropriate manner.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Intermediate / advanced level in Microsoft Office applications.
