Job Title: Transport Operator Nights

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Transport Operator to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of our depot in Cullompton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and coordination of transport operations, including dispatch debrief and work in progress for chilled and ambient operations.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure smooth operation and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Manage and debrief drivers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the production of KPIs and daily statistics to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, with a good working knowledge of traffic management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work at all levels.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the local area.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Solution-driven and flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Proficiency in MS packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Competitive salary from £31,000pa to £33,000pa, depending on experience.
