Our Team
Our Political & Credit Risk team is a closely-knit group of professionals who pride themselves on offering a quality service in timelines, detailed feedback, and claims servicing for our brokers and clients around the globe.
What You'll Do
You'll join our team as an Underwriting Technician, providing a comprehensive administrative service. This role involves using your communication skills to liaise closely with Underwriting Operations, including being the onshore interface between underwriters and our service provider in respect of all technical processing activities. With your prioritisation and organisational ability, you'll assist the team in the preparation of statistics and the analysis of business trends.
Key Skills
Commercial awareness and numerical/analytical aptitude will serve you well in this role, along with a general interest in world affairs and the real stories behind the headlines. Ability with Microsoft Excel and financial data manipulation will be highly advantageous. Your desire to develop and build on existing knowledge, both in these areas and this insurance class of business generally, will be vital.
Work Arrangements
The role is part-time, based around the equivalent of 3 days a week, with some flexibility to balance specific contractual hours around the right candidate's needs. Hybrid working is feasible/expected, but please note that during the initial training phase, it is likely that most time will need to be face-to-face in our London office.

Accessibility
We are located in the Leadenhall Building on Leadenhall Street (EC3V 4AB) and are situated on floors 16 – 18, and 39. All of our floors are accessible by lift, and there are building staff on hand to point you in the right direction. The closest train / underground / DLR links are: Liverpool Street Station (7 mins), Bank Station (6 mins), Fenchurch Street Station (6 mins), Aldgate Station (7 mins).
