About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Engineering & Technical Solutions (NPETS) team, providing HSE leadership and support at a power station located on the west coast of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives within project teams.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the HSE Management System.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance across all areas.
  • Provide functional support to the client's HSE leadership team.
  • Manage HSE aspects of project work, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in highly regulated environments, with a focus on safety.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across project teams.
  • HNC in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate, Construction Certificate, or NVQ Level 3.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations and experience managing contractors.
  • Membership in IOSH (desirable) and an IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
  • Strong understanding of current HSE legislation in project environments, including accident investigation experience.
