Commissioning Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commissioning Officer to join our Commissioning and Partnerships Division. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting us to grow and develop our commissioning and partnerships functions.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of commissioning strategies and plans to improve the quality of services and outcomes for Nottingham's residents.
- Work closely with partners, including health, education, housing, and the voluntary sector, to co-design and deliver preventative support and solutions for children, families, and vulnerable adults.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and providers to ensure the best value for Nottingham City Council.
- Contribute to the development of business cases and commissioning plans to support the delivery of our strategic objectives.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and partners on commissioning and partnerships matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a range of audiences and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyse information to inform options for service delivery.
- Experience of working with partners and stakeholders to co-design and deliver services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Strong understanding of commissioning and partnerships principles and practices.
