Job Title: Area Sales Person

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Person to join our team at Smallridge Bros Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling new and used agricultural equipment to new and existing customers within a dedicated sales area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Smallridge Bros' in the sale of machinery to customers
  • Follow the sales process to achieve high sales performance in conjunction with the sales tools available from John Deere
  • Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment
  • Maintain current knowledge of financing options
  • Conduct new equipment field demonstrations
  • Ensure a smooth delivery to customers and follow-up care
  • Build strong and loyal relationships with customers
Requirements:
  • 1+ years equipment sales experience would be an advantage, but not essential
  • A hands-on approach
  • A good understanding of farm machinery and agriculture
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills and a basic understanding of agricultural technology (manufacturer training will be provided)
  • Be a self-motivated individual who can build long-term relationships with customers
  • Have a willingness to learn and embrace new technologies
  • Have an ability to solve problems in a timely manner
