Student Achievement Support Specialist

Employment Type: Full Time - Fixed Term

Location: Surrey International Study Centre

Compensation: Up to £26,000 per annum

POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves providing essential guidance and assistance to students to improve their academic performance and overall satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support students in reaching their academic goals and transitioning to their preferred degree programs.
  • Offer personalized tutoring assistance throughout the academic term.
  • Gather and analyze student data to determine individual support requirements.
  • Direct students to suitable resources as needed.
  • Engage with students who have not progressed as required.
  • Assist in organizing educational activities and events aimed at student development.
  • Facilitate training initiatives for Student Representatives.
  • Participate in Student Forum meetings and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Encourage alumni involvement for the benefit of current students.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred Level 4 Qualification
  • Experience in assisting international or ESL students
  • Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues
  • Competence in data management and reporting systems
  • Excellent time management and prioritization abilities
  • Background in event planning and coordination
