Job Summary:
Cedar Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a leading Housing Association with the recruitment of an experienced Procurement Manager to work across M&E Category.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading strategic sourcing activities and agreeing a procurement strategy, taking a commercial and compliant approach in developing appropriate routes to market.
This is a permanent position that requires the candidate to work in the London office on a regular basis, with the opportunity to work remotely on other days.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Procurement Manager in developing and delivering operationally excellent strategies for a portfolio of M&E projects across the property area.
- Lead on the development, procurement, and implementation of category strategies, ensuring that contracts awarded deliver value for money and cost savings.
- Develop successful supply chain relationships through supplier/manufacturer visits and understanding the end-to-end supply chains.
- Maintain relationships with other key stakeholders, including sector specialists, and resident involvement teams in wider supply chain improvement initiatives.
- Develop extensive market research and analysis in specific markets in which the categories operate and evaluate market intelligence to support specific procurement strategies.
Requirements:
- Qualified to CIPS level 4 or higher.
- Experience as a Procurement/Category Manager within the public sector (PCR2015).
- Ability to work on multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
- End-to-end Category management from market analysis through to contract award.
Desirable:
- Experience working across the M&E/FM Category.
