Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Laundry Assistant to join our care home team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our homes. This will involve managing the laundry process, maintaining linen stocks, and collaborating with our care team to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the laundry process, including sorting, washing, drying, and ironing of linens and residents' personal clothing.
- Maintain linen stocks and collaborate with the care team to ensure that clean linen is available for use.
- Ensure that soiled linen is handled efficiently and in line with infection control policy.
- Clean and maintain laundry equipment, and store chemicals and cleaning products safely.
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, emptying waste bins, and cleaning bathrooms and toilets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the relevant team.
