Job Title: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Long Term Position

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic secondary school in Manchester. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis to overcome barriers to learning
  • Work with pupils who have additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, medical needs, and more
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils to promote their social, emotional, and academic well-being
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Degree 2:2 or above in any subject, ideally with a focus on psychology or education
  • Experience or knowledge of SEN, with a passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • Confident and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
