Position: Senior Internal Auditor (Hybrid Working)
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team. This role involves collaborating with the Head of Shared Internal Audit to ensure a robust Internal Audit function across various domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering an effective Internal Audit function focusing on areas such as contracting, information governance, project management, and corporate risk management.
- Evaluate and report on the efficiency of internal controls, contributing to the optimal use of resources.
- Provide expert advice on internal controls and compliance matters to the organization and its partners.
- Conduct a variety of audits, including risk-based assessments and reviews of key financial systems, as outlined in the annual Audit Plan.
- Prepare comprehensive reports assessing the effectiveness of controls in mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Make actionable recommendations to management to address identified control weaknesses and compliance issues.
- Respond to management inquiries regarding audit advice and input on various projects and procurement activities.
- Conduct special investigations, including whistleblower reviews, as required by management.
- Supervise and perform peer reviews for individual audits to ensure quality and compliance.
- Stay informed about changes in audit practices, technology, and organizational policies.
- Represent the Head of Internal Audit in external and internal committees as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Shared Internal Audit.
- Adhere to the Equality and Diversity Policy in all employment and service delivery aspects.
- Comply with health and safety policies by practicing safe working methods and reporting hazards.
Employment Type: This is a full-time position on a temporary contract basis.
