Key Responsibilities

Property Litigation is a crucial aspect of this role, which encompasses:

  • Handling landlord and tenant disputes
  • Managing Section 8 and Section 21 eviction notices
  • Providing expert legal counsel and representation to clients involved in disputes arising from both residential and commercial lease agreements
  • Engaging in legal analysis, negotiation, and courtroom representation to protect the interests of landlords and tenants
  • Addressing housing tenancy and long leasehold issues
  • Recovering debts, including outstanding rental income
  • Offering comprehensive legal advice and resolving conflicts through litigation or alternative dispute resolution mechanisms
  • Conducting thorough consultations with clients to understand the nature of their landlord and tenant disputes
  • Delivering clear and actionable legal advice on rights, responsibilities, and potential legal remedies
  • Managing possession claims for both residential and commercial properties
  • Recovering outstanding service charges
  • Drafting and preparing legal documents such as eviction notices, lease terminations, and court pleadings
  • Conducting inventory reviews and addressing disputes over property conditions
  • Handling breach of covenant claims and claims for disrepair
  • Establishing legal/beneficial ownership
  • Preparing documentation for both County Court and High Court

Clients include corporate occupiers, commercial landlords, investors, developers, and residential clients from both domestic and international backgrounds.


Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with a background in property litigation, specifically with experience managing a busy caseload of landlord and tenant residential possession matters. The firm may also consider a paralegal with 2-3 years of relevant litigation experience.
