Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. As a key member of our catering function, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe production of beverages and meals for our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding and adhering to the principles of safe food handling to maintain the highest standards of hygiene.
- Contributing to team working, responding positively to colleagues, and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly.
- Advising on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
- Providing exceptional care and respect to residents and their visitors, upholding their dignity and individuality.
To be successful in this role, you will embody our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
- Efficient working skills, capable of sustained physical effort, and able to respond to a demanding workload.
- Initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards team working.
- A caring and understanding attitude towards residents.

Please note that this role requires a DBS Disclosure check, which will be met by Avery Healthcare, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
