Exceptional Opportunity for a Seasoned Sous Chef

Gateway Hospitality Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our esteemed client's kitchen team in a busy Country Inn with rooms. As part of a dynamic and creative team, you will assist the Head Chef in delivering exceptional cuisine of the highest standard, meeting the AA rosette benchmark.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Lead a team of junior chefs in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, as well as food hygiene regulations
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas
  • Deputise for the Head Chef in their absence

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised and lead a team of junior chefs
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
