Fleet Training Specialist

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Fleet Training Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role is essential for enhancing the skills and knowledge of our drivers, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.
As a Fleet Training Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive training sessions for our drivers, while assessing and monitoring the effectiveness of the training programs.
Compensation: £43,704 per annum.
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm (with flexibility required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate in-house, periodic Driver CPC training sessions.
- Provide instruction on drivers' hours, tachographs, and WTD regulations to both new hires and current drivers.
- Conduct orientation and training for new employees.
- Evaluate and monitor all training initiatives to ensure they meet the needs of our drivers.
- Deliver verbal and written assessments of drivers' performance following training courses, utilizing coaching techniques as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all training activities.
- Collaborate with the Transport Management team to maximize the benefits of training.
- Assess the driving standards of our drivers and provide guidance to departments such as Health & Safety, Transport, and Human Resources.
- Perform risk assessments and establish safe working practices for various operational sites.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Road Transport Directive and current drivers' hours regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valid LGV C&E Driving Licence is essential.
- Excellent communication skills for effective training delivery.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Advanced driving qualifications are preferred.
- Strong presentation skills.
