About the Role
Bush & Co is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide exceptional care to a determined young woman living with an acquired brain injury. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, encompassing personal care, rehabilitation support, and fostering her engagement in leisure activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized care, assisting with daily living tasks and promoting independence.
- Collaborate with therapists to implement rehabilitation plans, including physiotherapy and speech therapy.
- Encourage social interaction and participation in community activities, potentially including family holidays.
- Maintain a safe and supportive home environment for the client and her pets (a cat and dog).
- Work collaboratively with therapists, healthcare professionals, and the client's family to ensure comprehensive care.
Essential Requirements
- Genuine empathy and understanding for individuals with acquired brain injuries.
- Experience in providing personal care and support to individuals with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and supportive relationship with the client and her family.
- A full driving license and willingness to drive the client's vehicle.
- An enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service is required due to the nature of the role.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive hourly rates are offered, varying based on day/night shifts and weekends. Bank holiday rates are also provided.
