Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in South East England. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, support, and care of individuals with learning disabilities.

About the Role:
  • Work as a team member to maintain a safe and supportive environment for service users.
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the planning, delivery, and review of care plans, ensuring individual needs are met.
  • Participate in staff appraisals, supervisions, and team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support service users with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household duties.
  • Encourage and enable service users to participate in activities, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and report any changes in service users' needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a comfortable, relaxed, and purposeful environment.
  • Complete administrative tasks, such as timesheets and reporting, as required.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.
