Interim Finance Director

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join our client, a highly respected charitable organization, on a full-time contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 3-4 and ensuring the high-quality day-to-day financial operations of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and development of the charity's digital accounting platforms (Xero, Sage, and bespoke tools)
- Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of transactional-focused colleagues
- Ensure adherence with charity reporting deadlines and procedures
- Regularly partner with other colleagues and departments outside of finance, leading and influencing on best practice
- Regularly attend strategic and operational meetings, reporting on financial position
- Alongside the Finance Director, attend board meetings with the CEO
- Assist with month and year-end procedures, and annual audit
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cashflow reporting

Requirements
- A sound understanding of payroll policies
- A good understanding of digital accounting systems, with an aptitude to learn new packages
- Experience gained in a not-for-profit setting would be welcome, but the door is not closed to candidates from a commercial environment
