Located in the West Midlands, we are looking for a dedicated Quality Support professional to ensure that our manufacturing processes adhere to established process control plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing products to ensure they meet specified standards.
In this role, you will be tasked with recording and analyzing data to drive improvements in processes and reduce defects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct First-Off, Last-Off, and In-Process inspections of products in accordance with engineering specifications and process control plans.
- Utilize measuring and testing equipment effectively.
- Document and analyze inspection and testing data.
- Provide training and guidance to the manufacturing team regarding quality standards.
- Advocate for customer quality expectations throughout the organization.
- Implement corrective action plans for non-conforming materials and resolve issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with IATF16949, ISO9000, and ISO13485 standards.
- Perform internal audits and maintain SOPs and quality documentation.
- Contribute to the APQP/PPAP processes.
- Support production operations as needed.
Key Relationships: You will collaborate closely with the Quality Manager, Production Supervisor, Metrology Engineer, and other manufacturing personnel.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- IAFT 16949:2016 internal auditor certification is preferred, along with experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A solid understanding of IAFT 16949, ISO13485, and ISO9001 standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in PCDIMIS and Nikon Nexiv, with programming skills being advantageous.
- Effective communication skills to engage with the manufacturing team.
- Flexibility to assist in various production roles as required.
